Conference registration (which includes an afternoon community session on Sunday, July 12, Monday night’s event at UT Dallas and all general and plenary sessions on Tuesday, July 14) is $100 if you register by April 15. 

From April 16-June 26 the price is $150 and after that the price goes up to $225. 

Workshops are a separate price, and this year we have expanded our offering to include some on Sunday, as well as Monday. The price for workshops is $100 for the first one, and then $50 for each additional workshop (maximum number of three).

Michael Tempel was an elementary and middle school teacher and teacher trainer in the New York City Public Schools, worked at the New York Academy of Sciences developing and managing science education programs, and then joined Logo Computer Systems (LCSI), a major developer of educational software.

He was the Educational Programs Manager for Schlumberger Excellence in Educational Development (SEED) where he developed a science education website and ran STEM workshops for students and teachers internationally.

Along with MIT Professor Seymour Papert, he co-founded and is President of the Logo Foundation, a nonprofit organization devoted to supporting students and teachers in their use of creative computing. The Foundation is active in providing professional development services for teachers in schools and districts across the USA and abroad.
